I used to post here, it looks like my profile didn't make it over with the new message board.

Me and and another are working on a video set to music that promotes third-party candidates for this upcoming election. As you may know, the first debate was last night-- however, John McCain and Barack Obama are not the only ones running for president.

Third-party candidates are shut out of the debates because the debate commission is run by the democratic and republican party, and their corporate sponsors. By not allowing other nominees to participate, they put an extremely narrow focus on the kind of issues that can be brought up. The result is that the "debate" is more about cosmetics, who comes off looking better, rather than any discourse that goes on.

What we want to do is garner attention for these other candidates, the ones that do have something to say.

If you'd like to help, we need various short animations, running probably between 4 and 8 seconds. They don't have to be detailed, just creative and to a certain standard. There doesn't have to be a consistent style running through these-- besides it reinforces the point of having diversity. This will be going on youtube and should get attention, so you could possibly get some exposure out of it.  If you can take directions and don't mind criticism, send me a PM. We want to get this done within the next couple days.
