On and on, I go, unsleeping, barely eating, barely drinking.
I have trudged through the blistering sands
I have waded through the leech-infested mires
I have pushed through the hedge-wall mazes
And still, I go.
On and on.
Why do I keep going?
What is the point?
Is there a point?
What am I looking for?
Where am I going?
Why do I keep pushing forward?
What is my destination?
Through the arctic wastes, I have gone
Through the brambley forests I have slid
Monster after monster falls at my feet
and still I go on.
Why do I do this?
Why don't I just settle down?
...
Sometimes I stop at towns. Nice enough places.
Stock up, move on. Stay not long. Sometimes someone joins me.
They don't go far before turning back.
They tell me I'm crazy.
Heh, maybe I am.
Forward, ever forward!
I will carry on until I die....
Perhaps THAT is my destination.
