The Quest For a Wish

        When the dust had settled and the observers were either making a exit to avoid any other danger or talking amongst themselves about the green haired boy who wreaked such havoc, Persephone walked towards the deceased men but stopped midway. Throughout her life she had seen many bizarre things happen, including the dead coming back to life, but for some reason this one surprised her.
       “Kael . . . “she said under her breath – no one heard her.  How did he survive?  She was in a shocked state of awe, a very rare emotion for her to feel.  Then sadness overtook her when she realized that he had no way to recognize her – the curse made sure of that. She severely hoped that Jack, who was watching from the roof, hadn’t managed to see her reaction, he may have mistaken it for fear.  But he didn't, he sat patiently awaiting any order, but took Cthulu from his waist just to be prepared.
        Part of studying necromancy is to leave emotions behind. Persephone found this mere impossible when the lavender haired girl walked up to Kael with a genuine expression of concern. Some people called this emotion jealousy, Persephone called it problematic.  Persephone kicked a body over to see his face, there was no significance, and these men were obviously ordered to hunt the other party. Who was their boss?  What purpose did they have here? Who are they really after? All questions that ran through Persephone’s mind as she considered talking to the other group.
Persephone raised her hand and gestured Jack to stay in position and wait for orders.  She overturned the bodies, folded their arms and closed their eyes, as respect to the dead AND just in case she needed their bodies soon.  Midway through this process she glanced up to see the three others talking, Kael lifted an arm and pointed towards the woods behind them, the girl nodded. It looked like they were planning to leave.  She was in heavy debate whether or not to talk to them. 
       She watched the lavender-haired girl closer, noting that her delicate facial features resembled that of either an Ardarian or Lunese, the two were often confused. She tried to look away. Why had she so quickly become obsessed with this trio?  Persephone thought back, Kael had gotten very handsome as time passed but her goal was far too important to get involved in some romantic entanglement. Besides he was traveling with a pretty Lunese or Ardarian, lavender-haired girl, who knows what their relationship was.  She tried to shake the ideas from her head.
     Once again she found herself waiting to see what the green-haired man was going to do before she would take any action.

Kael suddenly turned his attention to the other two strangers that werent too far from them, he simply crossed his arms on his chest and kept staring. "Strong".

Sabina raised an eyebrow, "Them?... Do you think that their intentions are bad?". He shook his head, "Unknown". She sighed, "I see..." He gently pushed her aside and walked over one of the bodies. Unlike the others that had black garments, his had a shade of red at the end and a symbol painted on one side. It was the unmistakeable sign of the BloodClaw clan.

"..." Sabina approached him, "Kael im really sorry for all this, its all my fault. If you werent my companion...". He placed a hand on her shoulder, "No problem". He took out his katana and sliced the corpse´s head off, it rolled over to her feet and she stepped back a little grossed out. "Hey ...What was that for!". But to her surprise, blood didnt come out, only black ooze.

"They are coming.", said Kael looking at the sky. Loud cries were suddeny heard, the skies became a little darker and the sound of wings flapping filled the air. "What is ... meep!". Kael grabbed her with his left arm and ran towards a surprised Jex, carrying him with his right arm. "Hey let go!". He made his way towards the woods and quickly hid under a thick bush.

Seconds later, a shadow appeared, growing in size as it approached the place where the assasins had fallen and finally took the shape of a dragon, on his back he carried a rider covered in a black armor. He jumped down from his ride, landing gracefully on the soft earth and approached the decapitated man. He inspected the wound, a small smirk forming on his lips. "So... you are here". He took off his helmet, revealing a mound of long dark hair. "Its been some time since I´ve such incompetent men work for me...". The rider lifted a hand, cracked his fingers and the bodies began to burn instantly. Some of the agonizing ones cried in pain and begged for mercy.

"I´ll find you... ", the man whispered and then went back to his dragon. But before he glanced over at the two strangers who hadnt fled the scene, he smirked and took flight.

"Its him... but I thought he was dead", Sabina whispered as the man left. "No, it can´t be, how is he here?".

 "Revenge". Kael took out his weapon. "Get moving now".

"Hey I dont know what is going on here but you are lucky to be alive, just grabbing me like that would have ended your life if I were not the kind person I am". Sabina shook her head, "We are sorry Jex, its just that Kael senses when danger is near and this could mean that they will chase us once again".

"that's ok. That's how my dad was, saving those who he can save when he sensed danger. he used the power of stone" jex says, his eyes were starting to well up, "Oh how I hope he's alright. I don't want to be the next in throne yet."

a little about him
he's a total newb... he can hold his own in a fight but he never properly learned any martial art or anything. he's a purist- he hates magic... he has smarts- thats why he is a desent fighter and that is what has kept him alive. he travels from universe to universe trying to find what direction home is. he has been lost onlly for a month or two with high hopes that he can return.

an explosion sounded in the pub. Jay appeared out of nowhere laying down between two of the dead bodies wearing only tattered pants and a cloth over his chest.
jay put his hands to his head shaking violently. he gain his composure quickly and rose to his feet stumbling a bit but regaining his strength.
he suddenly noticed the dead.
unsure and quite skeptical of what happened in the pub he reached for the knife that used to be at his side. noticing it wasnt there, he grabbed a dagger off one of the dead.

"who did this?" jay asked looking at the people still alive and upright. It was noticeable that he was in no condition to fight.

"Jex...", Sabina placed a hand on his shoulder to comfort him. "Im sure your father is alright. The way you described him, he sounds like a brave man who wouldnt die easily".

Kael stood up from their hiding place and looked around. There were people still wandering about and also a weird man with his clothes all torn. He raised an eyebrow, it was strange indeed.

"Hurt". He turned to Sabina, and quickly pulled her on her feet. He then made his way over Jay who still looked confused. But Kael stopped some few feet before Jay. He patiently waited for Sabina and Jex to catch up and motioned for her to move forward.

"Sir, are you alright?", Sabina approached the injured man and kneeled next to him.  "Where does it hurt?".

Kael stood next to Jex and crossed his arms over his chest, watching as his friend took care of the rest.

noticing someone was in pain, jay placed his daggar on the ground and walked cautiously up to the injured man.
"i can ease the pain if you so desire. i'm not going anywhere anytime soon so i can tag along with whoever needs me"
jay lifted his hand towards the injured man. light emanated from his fingers placing the light onto the injured man's body.

"I hope this helps take the pain. My name is jay.  I'm a traveler trying to find my way home and looking for friends."

The ground below started vibrating and pulsing. something big was obviously coming.

Loki jumped from out of the shadows and next to jex, "Oi sorry I'm later here stranger, but now we can get movi-- what happened here? These your friends here lad?"

Lokis' armor turned a deep black as he eyes the group and saw someone on the ground, "Uhm, who's that in the dirt, he seems familiar."

At that moment he noticed the ground shaking and his armor suddenly changed back to a green hue, but the orb on his helmet began to glow red, his shadow grew and darkness began to follow the 'thing' that came closer.

"Not sure but he needs help and we need to find out if that's an army, or golem... or golem army, hehe"

"No time for jokes now Loki w--"

"You know I never got your name, and I'm sure your new 'friends' already now it, that saddens me."

"NO TIME FOR NAMES!"

"Always a time for names my friend, ok now, roll call, starting from Mr.Grumpy stranger to... the guy on the floor. Come on now!"
He pointed around at everyone and his armor turned a dim grey.

Sabina looked at Jay, "How kind of you to heal him". She then stood up and walked towards Kael, she was holding something on her hand which she gave to his friend hastily. He opened his palm and inspected it. "Indeed".

Kael then turned his attention to Loki and placed a hand over his chest "Kael". Sabina raised an eyebrow, "Huh?". He then placed his hands on her shoulders, "Sabina". She smiled, "Oh yeah, nice to meet you!".

The injured man who was now healed got up, he looked at Sabina and then back at Jay. "Which of you has it?".

Sabina gulped and moved a little behind Loki, Kael unsheated his sword. "Tell your lord that if he wants it back he needs to come get it himself, tell him Raven has it".

The man swallowed hard, "You ... you dont know what you are getting yourself into!". He dashed away cowardly.

"Kael... ", Sabina gasped. "You sp-".  "Coming", said Kael, interrupting her and preparing himself. The ground continued shaking, and suddenly they were all thrown on the air with force, under them an explosion of mud and roots.

"WHAT IN THE HELL-" jex yells out, as a gigantic green, thorny, tentacle-like root bursts forth from the ground, "HOLY SHIT!" jex yells out drawing his talwar.

thousands of little vines rapidly grow out of the ground and attach to everything they touch. the vines grabbed jex ankle and merge to his skin. jay jumped out of the way of a group of vines only to be grabbed in the arm by one. jay restled as the vine slowly took over his entire left arm. the vines reached for sabina and loki. the gigantic center root reached around scouting the area blindly. It was looking for food.
"crap, i left my weed killer at home" jay joked. no one laughed.

jay's entrapped arm began to glow. he felt his arm be devoured by the roots as he desperately tried to heal himself.

"I can hold my own, all I need is a weapon!"

Loki stares at the creature, "Well I was wrong, and this seems to be a predicament... So Mr.Jay is it? Would you like my sword or scythe?"
Loki chuckled, "I'll guess scythe..."

He throws the scythe into the root attempting to devour Jay and it lets go, "It's for keeps!" He picks up Sabrina and rums up to higher ground, "You don't happen to have any fire spells do you?"

As a thorned root began to strike at the two, Jay severed the root and landed next to them. "Good timing yeah? And thanks for the scythe, gussing it's time for the harvest." He chuckled and jumped back into the feild.

"Might we join them? OF COURSE!" Loki charged off the roof unsheathing his sword and lunging directly to the center of the group, they stood back to back, "Okay then, stranger and Jay, seems we need to kill this and find the others, if they don't get over here before we kill this, haha."

Jex glared at Loki, "So you know his name and not mine" He slashes into an on coming vine.
"Well, I do recall you saying it was no time for names, I made time with him an Sabrina."
     "Well I'm Jex, and don't die here, we need you to take us to the elders."

Loki stood down, "So am I only a tool for you? You do realise finding the elders is the least of our worries..."

Sabina held on to the tree where Loki had placed her. She directed all her attention to the raging roots attacking her friends. "Burn in the endless fire of my soul!", she cried. A red glow emanated from her and lunged towards the roots, catching them on fire . However some of the roots managed to escape, one of them wrapped around her waist and lifted her high upwards. "Nooo!", she cried trying to break free.

Kael dashed towards them, katana ready. He slashed at the roots , freeing his friend. "Eyaah!!", she cried as she fell from the sky, but Kael stopped her fall, holding her arm.

"Watch out!" cried Jex. Suddenly from behind them, the face of the monster appeared, it was a giant exotic flower, with thorns at its sides. It opened its mouth and a long tongue wrapped itself around Kael, pulling him towards the mouth. "Aaah!", Sabina closed her eyes as they were both pulled towards the monster, but Kael used all his strenght to throw her aside.

She was caught by Loki in midair both watching in horror as Kael dissapeared inside the monster. "No...", Sabina cried as they both landed.

the flower started emanating pink gas. everyone knew time was running short. they had to kill this thing or else they would be killed in its place. Jay ran towards the plant about to slice it. his scythe froze inches from the flower. he retracted his scythe. hes stepped back on or two steps and ran towards the plant as fast as possible.

almost as if it know what jay was doing, the flower opened it's mouth and lunged towards him. Jay was swallowed by the beast weapon in hand.

Jex stares in shock and horror, Kael had just been eaten. But, if he knew man-eating plants, it would take a few thousand years to digest him. "Tie a rope to someone, send them into the plant. It takes a few thousand years to digest if your a man-eating plant"

the plant groaned and moved as if it was being guided by pain. the head of the plant retracted under the ground and the vines followed. what was once a war ground between man and plant, was now just a hole in the ground with people surrounding it in horror of what just happened.

Light emanated the tunnel the plant had created.the light was a sign jay was still alive, maybe kael too.
