never a dull moment with your sketches dude. i'd really like to see some of them rendered out but i guess the sketchy textured looks is what gives it its appeal. where'd you get your inspiration from man?

inspiration comes from everywhere, films, music (!) and lyrics, random writings & thoughts, everything that interests me a bit in a nutshell which include depression, spiritual undertones, relationships, sexuality, fetishes (!) life around me, life itself (!) and of course whatever i'm going through at the time of drawing these things.
so there's a lot more in it than meets the eye. ominous.
sometimes I pick up motifs I find appealing or what help me get a message across. some of them stick and anchor a lot of my work (yet grow with me), such as antlers, rabbits, stars, boxes, card suits, certain characters etc.

While other people in the Brackenwood community may be better traditional draftsmen, the true mark of what it means to really be an artist is to carve away boundaries and give other people a different sense of the world. Every time I come to your sketchbook, I feel inspired. I feel fed - the quality of raw think-stuff you produce is amazing, your variety is excellent, and the applications of the mediums you do use are outstanding (particularly your photographs!). I feel like I'm becoming a better artist by watching you.
And no, this post has no practical purpose. I just realized your images are starting to appear in varied forms in my own work, and it's a sign of how your art is affecting my thinking.

BTW, my tablet isn't working so I can't really do any further work on these sketches... But if anyone wants to colour in any of my line-art then you have my permission.
