John and Mary had never met before, much like two hummingbirds who had also never met before.

Spelling doesn't matter at all afaik, you just disregard any letter that's not one of the 7 sarus letters.

mit, dor fas sos rekɘd fa la (forum) re dor farɘl fam Sarus ti fat mis sorɘs! Dor fat farɘt dof, re dom lal ti domɘm tifɘm dof! Sodɘt tidɘlɘr, fam res dor sos rekɘd fa (forum)...hehe...

I hope I didn't mess up my first post. gah.

dor do sos ti dotɘfɘd ti lafɘtɘl dor retɘdɘl >.>

Rek ti tidɘt remɘk rekɘl dom farɘt fal sodɘt Sarus? E.g.  (dolid mif) > (dld mf) > (dolɘd mif)? Dor larɘl dof do som sodɘt la ret tidɘtɘd, fas...

By the way, would "sodɘt la ret tidɘtɘd" be acceptable for "in both ways"? (literally, in the two ways, but that's the only way I can think of to represent 'both', seeing as it isn't in the dictionary that's most readily available (http://www.biteycastle.com/525/Sarus2_engSarus.html).

mit sodarayag! Tityd dom faryt mil Smiley
Mid doturym post sodit Sarus ti fat mis.. faedmir perfect, I'd say.

I think I grasped your first question, though there were a couple of typos (corrections in green):
'is way from (to) speak you like more in Sarus? I know it's not bad in the self (other) way, but..'

Can you speak whichever way you feel comfortable? Sure. You can write it whichever way you like and as long as you have the syllables in proper sequence, it will be decipherable.

To answer your second question: As "both" literally means "all of two", you'd use rsr which means all.
