Hi there, I have a quick question: I'd like to know how to make a group of symbols move in the same way.  I already know that if I select all of them, I can make a motion tween that will be identical on each layer.  However, I forgot about this and made a somewhat complicated series of motion tweens for just one of the symbols.  Is there any way now to "sync" the rest of them to move in the same way as that one symbol?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Copy and paste the tweened frames into a new layer, and change the symbol in the first frame?

But the other symbol has to start out in a different position.

The problem is that part of the scene is already done, and I did it the right way. Then for another part of a scene I forgot and only moved one of the symbols which should be moving together.

have you tried right-clicking the tween > Copy Motion?
Then paste the motion into the other tweens.

Of course, if you were using CS4 whose new motion model treats tweens as single objects (rather than interpolated motion between two objects), you can move the motion object as a whole thing to any position.

Thanks, but there was no "tween" to click and no "copy motion" option... I'm using Flash MX 2004 (EDIT: Not 2004, the 2002 version), so it's rather outdated in such things.

I had to do it the hard way.

You could do this:

Create an object containing everything you want to move. Then, in the layer you already tweened, simply swap the symbols.
