Good poems ares short,
They don't stray from the main path,
They say what you mean

Welcome to the thread,
Where we speak only Haiku,
You must be careful

Choose your words wisely,
For you can only use few,
Get right to the point

Poetry is good,
But only when it is shared,
Post your Haiku here

This concept's not mine,
retrieved from foreign chat,
and brought here for fun

Anyway, have fun,
My friends and all strangers too,
And read your stuff through Wink

And do not forget,
That there are are rules for Haiku,
They are as follows:

Syllables! First; 5,
Then the next line has 7,
And then back to 5

Anyone who cheats,
Will probably be ignored,
So follow the rules

Frozen Pond

Through the glassy mask,
Do living things reside there?
Only Spring will tell

Oh what can survive,
encased in the glittering,
much life on the edge.

You say much with so little
I envy your skill

Zombie Haiku by Edgar Allen Poe
Beside of the sea
I killed my Annabel Lee
because zombies do that.

Zombie Haiku by Sylvia Plath
From head to black shoe,
daddy, I had to eat you
because I’m starving.

shakespear
To bite through the skull
or beat it against the wall?
That is the question.

i had to post those...
carry on

Have not posted in a while,

Now only the breath,
Of westerly Zephyros,
Cuts through the winter.

(find it hard to say?
The name of that zephyros,
is said Zef-ee-ross)

(Interesting words
But I'm afraid I don't see
What it was about

Maybe my poet
Inside of me has read wrong
And it is quite clear

I could be better
But, then, so could all of us
Too bad we aren't

I think it is best,
that for new year we make some,
good resolutions.

Make ourselves better,
in every way but one,
the way we stay friends.

(these are thoughts I have
written where you may see them
be kind, judge wisely)

<relevant, yet still
this one stands alone today,
what do you think, friend?>

I would kill you now
if I could stand to touch you
you stupid bastard

(on a side note though
I wrote a haiku story
I will not post it

if you wish to hear
then a personal message
should be sent to me)

also, you will see,
written today and stemming
from the same issue:

You made me love you,
hate you, love you, hate you now
and never love since.
