spoiler:

David Tennant is not leaving this series. Photos have been taken of the filming of the next Christmas Special.
He is involved along with the Cybermen.
Plus he said he'd be taking part in (i think it is) 4 specials in 2009. 2010 we have the wonderful Steven Moffat staking over.

----------------------------------------

End:
Adam, and other people who dont really keep in touch with the show as must as those commited fans even when catherine tate is involved :P
watch these two episodes by Steven Moffat.
http://dailybloog.blogspot.com/2008/06/only-messenger.html

this + blink and his other stories = a fine 2010 for Dr Who

I'm more partial to Christopher Eccleston. Man was in 28 Days Later.

Actually, what they need to do is make the series focus on Sally Sparrow and that other dude. Or at least make a Sparrow and Nightingale spin-off.

I actually don't know what the fuck I'm talking about. I'm just an american who's only seen the anti-blinking episode. :bing:

I think Alan Rickman's enthusiasm would make a great doctor! Eaither that or any of the cast from The Mighty Boosh, Vince,Howard,Nabu or Bob Fossil.

How can you say that H@m? David Tennant is THE Doctor. I've spoken to people who were around during the original series. There's been no better than him and I doubt there will be. He's has depth. and humour but can do love, fear and drama. Plus he's stunning! You can't replace him with, admittedly humorous, but poor actors (compared to Tennant) of the mighty boosh.

I agree with pillow!
also, how can you say that without knowing the real names of the Boosh cast? Noel Fielding and Julian Barret would be appalled. XD

(sorry, most of my close friends are total Boosh nerds.)

I personally think that all of them would make great doctors, imagine all the clothes and outfits from different planets Noel could wear, a new outfit every scene! And if Julian was to be The Doctor naturally hes  sexy sidekick would be Noel. I would laugh my socks off, I guess college t.v. shows must of ruined my choice in t.v. ^^

Bard Man agrees. They can try to replace David Tennant, but he'll always be THE Doctor in my eyes. Nobody they could hire could meld with the role as perfectly as Tennant does.

I say they replace Tennant with John C McGinley. They can finally name the Doctor now.

And his name will be Dr. Cox. :)
